Editorial Team
Horn Theology is edited regionally. Rather than one central desk interpreting the whole Horn, each area of the region is served by an editor who reads its languages, follows its public debates and knows its churches. The Chief Editor holds final editorial responsibility, working with regional and topic editors, copy editors, translators and reviewers.
We will share individual names only after people have agreed to be named publicly.

Naol Befkadu Kebede
An Ethiopian physician and public theologian, Naol holds final editorial responsibility for Horn Theology’s published work.
Public call for collaborators
- Eritrea editor
- A regional editor to commission and shepherd essays on Eritrean public life, faith under constraint, exile and memory.
- Northern Ethiopia editor
- A regional editor for Tigray, Amhara and northern Ethiopian contexts, including questions of war, memory and reconstruction.
- Occasional contributors
- Writers with regional knowledge and theological seriousness, from any Christian tradition.
- Translators
- Amharic, Afaan Oromoo, Somali, Tigrinya and Arabic translators for published essays.
- Reviewers and advisers
- Scholars and practitioners willing to read drafts and advise on editorial standards.
